Most systems from the A version can be found in the C as well. Now I don’t have the faintest idea about programming, but I think a rollback of the A-10C cockpit to a klickable A-10A one shouldn’t be too hard. It would be a dream to have an A-10A with a clickable cockpit and I ask myself, why nobody tried to make a clickable mod for the A-10A (at least I haven’t found one). This is a great sound mod regarding the Das Boot Music (not sure about the generic sound bits), gives you excellent Das Boot atmosphere and mood. Now call me a moron, but that’s the way it is… :smilewink: This mod replaces and adds the music tracks from Silent Hunter 3 and original sound track from Das Boot. I don’t even know how to start the engines of the A-10A, because the cockpit is not clickable and I don’t remember the keyboard assignment. But guess what? I’ve been spoiled by the A-10C’s clickable cockpit.
Then I switched over to the DCS A-10C and flying it with a HOTAS Warthog, rudder pedals and clickable cockpit is a joy, not to mention the graphics that can’t even be compared with the old days, when everything started.Īfter flying the A-10C for a few years, I tried to fly the A-10A again. After years of flying other aircraft I returned to the Warthog at the time LockOn was available. I’m flying sims since ages and startet out with the A-10 in Sierra’s Silent Thunder (attached image) on a Windows 95 PC.
